Bring the promises in your Slack conversations into view.
tideline is a private iPhone app that helps you review what you promised, what others promised, and what still needs follow-through. Its Slack connection is read-only and acts only with the installing user's access.
- tideline searches Slack only when you initiate a search or enable a sync.
- Slack returns messages and related context that you are already permitted to access.
- Apple's on-device Foundation Model proposes commitments, decisions, questions, and tasks.
- You review every proposed item before relying on it as durable memory.
Connect Slack from tideline
Slack authorization begins inside the tideline iPhone app so the app can create and verify a one-time OAuth security challenge. No Slack password or token is entered on this website.
- Open tideline on a supported iPhone and activate tideline Pro.
- Open Sources, then choose Connect Slack.
- Sign in to Slack in the secure browser sheet, select a workspace, and review the requested read-only access.
- Choose Allow. Slack returns you to tideline and the workspace appears under Sources.
- Run a sync or use Ask to search that workspace. Connect additional workspaces by repeating these steps.
If you need access to the current iOS build or have trouble connecting, email [email protected]. We respond within two business days.
What tideline can and cannot do
- Can: search messages, threads, files, canvases, and people available to the installing user; retrieve relevant message history; and save selected context locally in tideline.
- Cannot: post or edit messages, react, create or join channels, invite people, delete Slack content, monitor other users, or access conversations the installing user cannot access.
- Does not: export or back up a workspace, train any model on Slack data, sell Slack data, use Slack email addresses for marketing, or share one user's Slack authorization with another person.
Slack data and AI
Slack search requests go from your iPhone to Slack's official remote MCP service. Matching content is returned to your device. tideline does not operate a content server in that path.
- Processing: extraction and ranking use Apple's Foundation Models on your device.
- Storage: imported source excerpts and items you keep are stored in the app's local library on your device.
- Retention: local items remain until you delete them. Disconnecting the final Slack workspace removes credentials and unconfirmed Slack suggestions; confirmed items remain until you delete them.
- Credentials: OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain and sent only to Slack in authorization headers.
- Training: Slack data is never used to train a large language model or any other model.
tideline may misunderstand a speaker, responsibility, date, or meaning. Its summaries and extracted items are suggestions, not authoritative records. Review the source excerpt before relying on an AI-generated item.
Disconnect or delete
In tideline, open Sources, use the menu beside the connected workspace, and choose Disconnect. You can also revoke tideline from Slack's connected-app settings. For complete local deletion instructions, see Delete your data.
Pricing and support
The Slack integration is included with tideline Pro. Subscription pricing is shown in the app before purchase and on the tideline pricing page.
